Layout and photos

You enter the spacious French-style kitchen-living area, where your holiday enjoyment begins. The kitchen is fully equipped with all conveniences and modern appliances. There is also a large table for eight people with a view of the lake. A small step leads to the hallway, which provides access to the toilet and bedroom. Here, you find yourself in an old hayloft, where some original features are still visible. In the toilet area, there is a cupboard under the stairs containing cleaning supplies. The bedroom offers a natural view of the lake directly from the bed. The shower with door and washbasin are partially separated, and a large storage cupboard has been created in the old passage leading to the large stable next to the gîte. Next, the cosy living room, which also offers a beautiful view of the lake. Here, you can relax with a good book, listen to music, or watch your favourite film on TV. We have an internet TV with Netflix, but no French TV channels. Outside, you have your own furnished terrace, and if you're looking for shade, you can find it at the picnic table under the trees in the garden.

Some small facts.

  • We have a lot of wooden floors in the gîte, we would appreciate it if you did not wear your shoes inside.
  • Open fires are not allowed, but we can make a cozy campfire together if you want and when the weather allows.
  • We have a septic and for that we have to use 100% natural products, such as cleaning products but also toilet paper and shower supplies. These are already present in the gîte and we ask you to use them. If it runs out, ask us, we will immediately provide replenishment.
  • We also wash clothes and linen with natural products, if you want to wash it, ask us, we are happy to help with that. We take care of all linen weekly, but you may want to wash your bath towel an extra time.
  • You use non-perishable products to prepare your food. These are partly present. Think of herbs, coffee but perhaps also a pasta or a jar of sauce. Feel free to use these, we do ask you to replenish them when they are almost empty and you may want to leave your non-perishable items for the next guests. If we all do that, everyone will enjoy them when they arrive at the gîte.
  • You will have your own parking space during your stay.
  • Charging electric cars is unfortunately not possible.

The creation of our gîte

The photos show that we are reusing a lot of materials and only using new where necessary. The gîte will eventually be made for 8 people, but is initially available for 2 people on the ground floor. On the first floor there will be three large bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and separate toilet. One of the bedrooms will be fully furnished as a children's room with 2 single beds. There will also be a small attic to enjoy music or a book. The other two rooms have a divisible double bed if desired.
